Summit Youth Centre’s Give Back Sunday

Invermere Summit Youth Centre will receive 15% of food sales from the Horsethief Creek Pub on this Sunday.  Come join us for some good food, and help out a worthy local charity 🙂

About the Summit Youth Centre:

Originally initiated in 1992 by the Community Vision Action Team and officially established in 1994 via a steering committee of professionals, youth, parents and like-minded individuals, the Summit Youth Centre Hub exists to provide a safe and dynamic ‘Hub’ for Columbia Valley’s youth. The Hub is completely not for profit and depends on the good will of the town of Invermere, local businesses, caring individuals and applicable grants to keep its doors open. It is THE HUB in Invermere where youth ages 12 through 18 can meet, hang out and enjoy some good times with friends. Youth are welcomed and encouraged to participate in our programs, socialize and make new friends. The Hub provides a bully-free, drug-free and alcohol-free environment, led by marvelous staff dedicated to the well-being of Columbia Valley’s youth. Afternoon and evening activities available at the Hub include a fully immersive VR “Cube”, foosball, video games, movies, board games and much more. The Hub is run as a drop-in centre, ensuring that any youth is welcome to come and drop in commitment free.

Minors are welcome to come to the pub if accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Minors can be seated from open until 8:30 p.m., and can remain at the pub until 9:59 p.m.

Give Back Sunday

The Horsethief Pub is proud to partner with local charities, not for profits, or local fundraising efforts for many Sundays through the year.  Groups holding a Give Back Sunday at the Horsethief receive 15% of our food sales as a donation to their organization.

When selecting groups to partner with, we work local.  We are looking to support groups here in the Columbia Valley as our way of giving back to the community that supports us through the year.  We get far more requests for participation than we are able to accommodate, so we narrow it down based on the success of past participation, on immediate need, and on a group’s ties in the Columbia Valley.

Participating groups are encouraged to have fun with their assigned week!  In the past groups have organized silent auctions, bands or other entertainers, or had a volunteer on site to collect donations or sign up members.  We have found that the more an organization puts in to promoting their Sunday, the larger the donation we are able to make.

If you represent a group that would like to partner with the Horsethief Pub for a Give Back Sunday, please send an email to Erin at  givebacksundays@gmail.com.

The Venue & Village

The Horsethief Creek Pub & Eatery hosts many great events all through the year, including Yuk Yuk’s Stand Up Comedy, Magicians, Burlesque & Live Music every Monday. Great seating and viewing options for guests and a full dinner and bar menu.

The Village of Radium Hot Springs is a peaceful mountain village in British Columbia’s Columbia Valley in the heart of the Kootenay Mountain Ranges. Only 2h45m West of Calgary, Radium Hot Springs borders on Kootenay National Park.

While visiting Radium, stay with one of our many boutique accommodators, and plan on visiting the Radium Hot Springs Pools, the new Zipline, one of the great courses on the Columbia Valley Golf Trail, or this list of many other things to do.  Radium is neighbours to communities in the Columbia valley like InvermerePanorama, Windermere, Fairmont Hot SpringsCanal Flats, and Edgewater.
