Tim Ross and Rockhead

Tim Ross is a singer/songwriter/guitar slinger who hails
from southeastern British Columbia, Canada. His day job
as a range management consultant, which translates to
“cowboy with a degree”, grants him the privilege of riding
the range and making a living in the saddle. He also
ranches, raising grass-finished beef.

His night job has been playing in bands of all sorts. His

songwriting influences range from rock-and-roll and
blues to rockabilly and cowboy songs. Artists he has
been compared with include Ian Tyson, Brian Setzer,
Stompin’ Tom Connors, and Corb Lund.

Working together with Fraser Armstrong, “Buffalohead”
was released in 2006. This record received airplay on
College and alternative stations across Canada.

The songs on his first western recording, “Blue Sky,
Green Grass”, released in 2006, reveal his humour, and
his love of the land, people, dogs, horses and cattle that
make up the New West. These songs have received
airplay on public radio here in Canada, and have found
their way south of the border to Idaho, Washington,
Oregon and California.

The most recent ‘Western’ recording, “Cowboy
Museum”, with leanings toward rockabilly and western
swing was released in 2012. A new rock recording,
entitled “13 Scenes” was released in 2020.
